Wider uptake of watersmart solutions

WIDER UPTAKE is an EU-project that brings together researchers, water utilities and private industries in five countries. The aim is to find the best possible use of water resources, reduce carbon emissions and develop sustainable business models.
To ensure clean water, food and good living conditions for all, we must utilize more of the resources in water. And it is not necessarily a question of technology, today the barriers are just as often regulations and lack of business models.
WIDER UPTAKE demonstrates innovative solutions that optimize water reuse, resource recovery and energy utilisation. Market utilisation of the recovered resources is achieved through a symbiosis between the utility and industry.
